Oakworth Church

Young People

Oakworth village has particular strengths and unity towards the welfare, wellbeing and care of family life, including our young people.

Christ Church is no exception. The reverend Bryony really enjoys her time at Oakworth
and Oldfield Primary Schools regularly leading assemblies, as well as connecting with all aspects of
family and community life.

The pupils and teachers of both schools regularly visit Christ Church for special services and events
including Easter and Christingle/Christmas. The volunteers from the Christ Church congregation express their joy at the opportunity to give the children extra help with their reading in school.

All children are of course very welcome at all the Sunday services.
There are always toys and space available at the back of church for children
and their parents/guardian to play with during the Sunday services.

'Explorers Club' for age 5-11 year olds, runs every 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays from 9.30am. Find out more here

Families particularly enjoy the craft events and Friday Film Night evenings
(held during the darker Autumn/Winter months) on the big screen.
Films shown are always suitable for all ages, and it is free.
