Supervision and Safeguarding is paramount at Christ Church ensuring our children have fun, learn and enjoy different themes and stories in the Bible. All leaders are DBS checked.
The parish of Oakworth, Christ Church and St. John’s Newsholme, is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s) PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
The Club members have previously been following the stories from 'Friends and Heroes'

All children of all ages are of course very welcome to attend all of the Sunday Services. There is a fun area at the back of church during Sunday services for little ones (and their parents/guardians) to play.
Sponsorship of young people to experience mission in other countries continues to be an
important aspect of our church's' support and giving, including supporting two of our young
people to join a group from the Diocese visiting our link Diocese in West Virginia in USA. Youngsters have attended Excite Holidays run by Scripture Union through church sponsorship.
