Oakworth Mothers' Union are once again taking active part in the National Campaign
"16 Days Activism Against Gender-based Violence".
This year at our monthly meeting, November 2022 we held a short service with special prayers, songs and readings specifically thinking about those who hold the scars of gender based violence.
The group wore purple face masks with the 'NoMore1in3' logo message on them and held banners to promote awareness that 1 in 3 women worldwide will experience gender based violence. This is unacceptable.
We are also planning on joining in the daily prayers throughout the campaign:
25th November up to 5th December and the GLOBAL DAY campaign which many charities and organisations worldwide get involved in.
